I'm taking on the challenge of Ultraman in 2017.
Ultraman is a 3 day endurance event which includes the following;
Day 1 - 10km swim + 145km bike.
Day 2 - 280km bike
Day 3 - 84.4km run
I was inspired to do this event by Craig Percival. A long time endurance athlete, Craig competed and won Ultraman Canada before taking 2nd place at the Ultraman world championships in Hawaii.
John Maclean was one of Criag's sporting inspirations, and I also have fond memories of coming out of the water at one of my early Ironman events, very proud of my time, to see John being carried up the beach already on his way to completing yet another incredible event.
I'm inspired by the work of the John Maclean foundation and watched in awe as Craig raised a phenomenal amount of money for the foundation in 2016 through his endeavours.
Craig tragically passed away late in 2016 and it therefore feels fitting that I use my huge challenge in 2017 to ask for your generous support for this amazing foundation. A foundation that seeks to provide financial assistance to purchase wheelchairs and other aids that help to improve the quality of life for Australian kids and their families.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about John Maclean Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
